I have always been fascinated at the complexity of human emotions and the ability for a person to feel bitter sadness and sweet joy at the same time. There are many times along our journey where we find ourselves at the corner of bitter and sweet. We look back down the road and we feel a sense of sadness as we say goodbye to a part of our lives we will never travel through again, while at the same time feeling joy as we look at the adventure that lies ahead.

How you feel and how you are treated are as important as the outcome. Even more so given the systemic white supremacy that exists in the healthcare system. #blackbirthmatters
