I’ll be honest, when my wife and now mother of our baby girl told me she was hiring a “doula,” I hadn’t the slightest idea what she was talking about. 

My wife was referred to Julie by a friend, and I cannot express how fantastic the experience was and the relief she brought throughout the pregnancy.

Julie had several pre-baby sessions with us, providing valuable insight on the birthing process and what to expect. My wife and her also put a birth plan together and worked side by side during her labor to follow it as much as possible.

During my wife’s labor, Julie was very nurturing and continuously ensured my wife remained calm and relaxed as possible. The fact that made this experience for me was the reassurance Julie provided me immediately following the birth of or child, during some minor complications my wife had, that everything was going to be ok. 

I would highly recommend hiring Julie as your Doula, especially for a first time parent, not knowing what to expect when the time comes.
